As the HSE Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental regulations are adhered to across railway projects. You will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety and sustainability, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the team in implementing best practices.

HSE Advisor
Requirements:
- To be considered, candidates must have a general NEBOSH certificate, PTS (Personal track safety) and a UK driving license as a minimum.
- Additional health & safety certificates are beneficial.
- Proven experience in a H&S position
- Experience in the rail sector is preferred; but, candidates with the correct qualifications from construction/civils backgrounds will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant HSE regulations and company policies. Stay up-to-date with current legislation and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide guidance to mitigate potential hazards. Assist in developing and maintaining risk registers for ongoing projects.
- Perform regular site audits and inspections, ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety procedures. Identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver health, safety, and environmental training programs to staff and contractors.
- Investigate and report on any incidents, near-misses, or accidents, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards, including waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on HSE performance, incidents, and audits to management. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and external stakeholders to ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into all phases of project planning and execution.
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans for various project sites.
