Transport Coordinator

Transport Coordinator Required – Manchester – Full Time

Our client is a well-established industrial packaging manufacturer, specialising in bespoke packaging solutions for customers across a range of industries.

On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit a Transport Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of transport, production, and customer service operations. This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple priorities.

Package:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm (early finish on Fridays when workload allows)
£30,000 per annum
5% annual performance bonus
Christmas bonus
Private medical insurance after 12 months
Company pension

Transport Coordinator – Responsibilities:

Plan daily transport routes and coordinate collections
Liaise with production, customers, drivers, and third-party hauliers
Process transport documentation and maintain accurate records
Manage driver hours, vehicle checks, and fleet administration
Monitor customer KPIs and provide regular reports
Organise product transfers between sites
Support accounts with month-end administration when required

Transport Coordinator – Requirements:

Minimum 5 years’ B2B customer service experience
Previous experience within transport, logistics, or production coordination is mandatory
Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills (Sage experience desirable)
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Able to work independently in a busy, fast-paced environment
Professional communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
