We are currently working with an established construction consultant based in Milton Keynes, who offer a variety of design and build services for various retail projects. This company is on the hunt for an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to join their growing team.
As a Pre-Construction Manager, you will be managing a team of consultants to take forward schemes up to project delivery level, working on large commercial building. This will include new build, extensions of existing, and acquisition and conversion.
Pre-Construction Manager – Position Overview
- Manage the project team successfully and collaboratively.
- Visit job sites, providing analysis and solutions to the conditions.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships and communication with client, construction manager, project team, consultants, architect, engineers, subcontractors ect.
- Review project documentation.
- Develop pre-construction schedule and monitor progress.
- Utilise project management and scheduling software’s effectively.
- Manage billings and cost procedures.
- Develop construction schedules.
- Plan site logistics.
- Write and ensure execution of all subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Manage project buy-out and formalising subcontractors.
- Prepare take-off and budgets.
- Conduct frequent meetings to ensure the projects run smoothly.
- Present job cost, scheduling updates, and budget updates regularly.
Pre-Construction Manager – Position Requirements
- Must have experience working on the Pre-Construction element.
- Must come from a construction background.
- Retail experience is essential.
Pre-Construction Manager – Position Remuneration
- Working schedule – Monday to Friday – 08:30-5:00.
- £60,000 – £70,000 basic salary (depending on experience).
- Pay per mile and will cover full costs of train commutes.
- Hybrid working.
- Company pension.
