On behalf of our client, we are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join their busy Specialist Foundations Team. This dynamic role is based in Hertfordshire and involves managing and coordinating foundation projects across the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering groundworks, piling, underpinning, and new foundation projects to a high standard.

The successful candidate would ideally have a strong background in groundworks or piling, and be comfortable with regular travel across the UK.

  • Up to £60,000 basic salary

Contracts Manager
Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of specialist foundation projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Conduct site visits nationwide to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality standards.
  • Manage site teams, ensuring health and safety compliance and efficient workflows.
  • Provide guidance and support to site personnel, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Collaborate with the Head Office team to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including reports, budgets, and schedules.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolving challenges proactively.
  • Participate in training programmes to build expertise in specialist foundation techniques.

Contracts Manager
Requirements:

  • CSCS card (minimum requirement).
  • Experience in groundworks, including piling, underpinning, and new foundations (ideal).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Categories BE and/or C1 driving licence (not essential).
  • Knowledge of specialist foundation works.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK as part of the role.
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach to work
