Our client is a fast-growing mechanical building services company dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to clients across all sectors.

They’ve been trading for just over 7 years, and in that time have built a strong client base with multiple repeat job orders and have grown to be one of the go-to choices for Mechanical services in Derbyshire & the Midlands.

Due to their continued growth, they’re in a position bring a Mechanically biased Project Manager into the fold. The successful candidate would have several years’ experience in mechanical project delivery & be capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.

Due to being a relatively new business with a big forward order book, there is an abundance of progression opportunities available for the right candidate.

*Our client is also open to considering junior level candidates with the right mechanical experience.

Position Overview – Mechanical Project Manager

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Establish project schedules and monitor progress to ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Conduct regular meetings to communicate project goals, objectives, and expectations.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Identify and address any budgetary concerns or discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any issues or concerns.
  • Address client feedback and requests promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
  • Identify qualified subcontractors and vendors for various project components.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and manage relationships to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
  • Oversee the delivery of project milestones and objectives according to the established schedule.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with project requirements.

Position Requirements – Mechanical Project Manager

  • Proven experience in project management within the mechanical building services industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing etc.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
