Transport Planner Job Profile:

Our client is a well-established distribution company committed to providing top-quality service to their customers. We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their team and manage their fleet of vehicles to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

Transport Planner Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate daily transport operations for a fleet of 12+ vehicles.
• Develop and optimise delivery routes to ensure efficiency, minimise costs, and meet delivery deadlines.
• Ensure vehicles are loaded efficiently, considering weight distribution and legal limits.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to all transport regulations, including vehicle maintenance schedules and driver hours.
• Liaise with drivers to provide clear instructions and address any issues that arise during deliveries.
• Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure delivery commitments are met and customer satisfaction is maintained.

Transport Planner Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in transport planning, ideally within a similar industry.
• Proficient in using transport planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to think quickly and resolve issues efficiently.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.

Transport Planner Job Remunerations:

• £30,000 – £33,000
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No weekend work required
• Standard holiday entitlement plus bank holidays
• Onsite parking
• Company pension
