Transport Planner required! My client is a transport, logistics, container, and warehouse specialist, based in Felixstowe, providing their customers with end-to-end logistics solutions. Due to company growth, they are looking for a transport planner with port, container, or traffic experience to join their team.

Transport Planner – Responsibilities

• Be able to operate systems such as Destin8, TOPs, Port VBS systems.
• Plan and schedule routes for the fleet and container deliveries/pickups.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and other departments, ensuring all operations are running smoothly.
• Oversee day-to-day transport operations, ensuring legal compliances are met.
• Provide regular updates to customers regarding their deliveries, and dealing with any issues that may arise e.g. route changes.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their transportation needs are met.
• Analyse transport costs, identify any opportunities for cost savings.

Transport Planner – Requirements

• Be able to operate systems such as Destin8, Port VBS systems.
• Previous transport planning experience is required.
• Experience in ports, containers, or distribution.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers, drivers, and colleagues.

Remuneration

• Monday-Friday
• 07:00 -18:00
• 1 in 3 Saturdays
• Salary – £35,000 – £50,000
• Company pension scheme
• On site parking
