Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive fire alarm and security systems, specialising in design, supply, installation, and ongoing maintenance services. To continue their seamless projects & contracts, they are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Minor Works Coordinator to join their team and ensure the efficient scheduling and delivery of minor works projects.

The Minor Works Coordinator is responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and scheduling of all minor works related to fire alarm and security system projects. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely and efficient completion of scheduled works. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project coordination, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Minor Works Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain schedules for minor works projects, ensuring optimal resource allocation and efficient use of time.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all necessary resources are available and properly scheduled.
  • Adjust schedules in response to project changes, delays, or urgent priorities, communicating updates to all stakeholders.
  • Monitor the progress of scheduled works, ensuring deadlines are met and projects stay on track.
  • Prepare and distribute regular progress reports, highlighting any potential issues or delays and proposing solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all scheduled activities, including work orders, job statuses, and completion timelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding the scheduling and progress of minor works projects.
  • Liaise with clients to confirm schedules, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with internal teams and subcontractors to relay client requirements and expectations.
  • Conduct post-completion checks to verify that all tasks have been completed to the required standard.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices for scheduling and project management.
  • Support the Operations Manager with additional tasks as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a scheduling or project coordination role, preferably within the fire alarm, security systems, or construction industry.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
